So this is the new year
Busy. Busy. Busy. That’s what I’ve been. Between moving, holiday traveling, and work I’ve been on the go non-stop.
I would first like to say Happy New Year to all. I hope everything is going good so far and that the rest of the year is full of whatever it is you want.
The moving situation is slow and long. I have most of my necessities at my new apartment but it’s not fully unpacked yet. I still have a ton of miscellaneous things at the old house that I hopefully will have out by this weekend.
I traveled to Cherry Log Mountain, Georgia for the New Year holiday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Like Nicki, I need to figure out a good way to thank Heather and Noah. More on the adventures later.
Work is moving pretty fast. I’ve been buried in it since I got back on Tuesday. More about this later as well.
I just wanted to tell you guys that I’m still alive and kicking and hopefully will be able to get back to regular posting. I also still need to discuss my “resolutions”.
One of my favorite Death Cab songs(hence the title of this post). I had to throw it in.
so this is the new year.
and i don’t feel any different.
the clanking of crystal
explosions off in the distance (in the distance).so this is the new year
and I have no resolutions
for self assigned penance
for problems with easy solutionsso everybody put your best suit or dress on
let’s make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
as thirty dialogues bleed into onei wish the world was flat like the old days
then i could travel just by folding a map
no more airplanes, or speedtrains, or freeways
there’d be no distance that can hold us back.
